WHAT

One of the primary objectives of the game is to elect a faction as the leader of the upcoming insurrection against the Tenebran rule.

The faction that wins the election will become the leader of the resistance in The Fog LARP canon, which will also have some gameplay consequences.

The successful candidate faction needs to demonstrate potential in various areas, including organization, warfare, diplomacy, conspiracy, intelligence, eloquence and charisma.

While being the “strongest clan in battle” or the most numerous faction may make things easier, it is by no means sufficient, both in-game and game mechanic-wise.
Therefore, any faction has the opportunity to win the election, regardless of their number or profile.
At the same time, it is not mandatory to run as a candidate—a faction may choose to give or trade their support right away if they wish.

WHO

Factions are the candidates in the election. Every faction with six or more members is eligible to be a candidate.

Characters act as voters in the election. This includes non-affiliated players if they wish to.

HOW

Throughout the game, a series of “trials” (quests) will take place, testing the factions’ organizational skills, combat and tactical prowess, diplomatic skills, abilities to assassinate and steal, code-breaking skills, and even talent for propaganda.

Successfully completing these trials rewards factions with money and Revolution Ballots.
Revolution Ballots can then be taken, stolen, given to others, or traded, among other possibilities. 

Voting Procedure:

1. Revolution Ballots are cast in a designated ballot box during a specific time window on the last day.
2. Voting for your own faction is not allowed (in-game, this decision has been made to provide one final, crucial test—how the candidates perform in rallying support from others and providing them with the means to exercise their vote. This means that not only must you convince others to vote for you but also ensure they have enough ballots to do so).
3. It is permitted to vote for more than one candidate.
4. There are no limits on the number of ballots that can be cast by one individual.
5. When voting, the voter will be required to write their name, the faction they belong to and the faction they are voting for on the ballot.
6. In-game self-organization among the participants to ensure fair elections will be a part of the game.
7. After the voting period has ended, the “electoral committee” consisting of the GMs will process and count the ballots out-of-game.
8. Ballots cast for one’s own faction or with unclear votes will be considered invalid and will be discarded.
9. The winner is the faction with the most ballots, determined by a simple majority.
10. In the event of a tie between two or more factions, the candidate who receives votes from representatives of the most factions will win.
11. The results will be announced on Friday evening.
