GAMEPLAY: MONEY
This text will get you aquainted with the use of in-game curreny in the 2023 installment of The Fog LARP. The topic is especially relevant for factions who wish to participate in the Economic Game.
In-game currency
In-game currency consists of “gold” and “copper” imperial coins.
If you own coins from the previous installment of the game, you can use them in this installment.
Money will be available for collection to all players, both faction members and individual players. The primary source of coins will once again be the quest rewards obtained throughout the game.
WE KINDLY REMIND YOU TO NOT LOSE THE IN-GAME MONEY. IT IS A PROP WITH SUBSTANTIAL REAL-LIFE VALUE.
Economic Game
A recurring aspect of the faction game at The Fog LARP is the Economic Game – a group-oriented political simulation designed for factions interested in participating.
In the lore of the game, the Tenebran Empire operates as a decentralized state where the new Provinces are responsible for their own populations and generating their own income. The task of feeding the people falls upon each province, and there is no system of taxes or income distribution.
Similar to last year, factions with 6+ members on site and territories on the map will have a specific objective – to collect a certain amount of money. This money is necessary to ensure an adequate supply of Substance to feed their population.
The exact amount will be communicated to faction leaders before the game, and it will also be provided in the materials they receive during check-in.
Compared to last year, a relatively greater amount of money will be available for free exchange (meaning that the total amount required to meet faction economy quotas will be reduced). However, it is important to note that money remains a scarce in-game resource in The Fog LARP, as per design.
